Rendsburger Hochbrücke, officially Eisenbahnhochbrücke Rendsburg) is a
2,486 metre (8,156 ft) steel, cantilever, railway viaduct, with a “suspension
ferry” (German: Schwebefähre), which carries cars, pedestrians, cycles and
motorcycles across the Kiel Canal (free of charge), daily every quarter hour.
