The cabins are rustic with two beds, a small night stand, several small tables/benches, a kerosene lamp, a basin, and a woodstove. There was a bathhouse with running water. Before we went to bed we heated up water on the woodstove and poured it into the basin to clean up - Norah got a real kick out of that.
Norah entertained herself by building with sticks she found around the cabin. Sophie, a sweet dog from a nearby cabin, got very excited every time Norah picked up a stick, then her hopes were dashed when Norah used it in her building. The owner came over to check on Sophie and said it was okay to throw sticks for her - Norah was happy to oblige and played with Sophie for awhile. This lady also asked Norah if she was building a fairy house. Norah was intrigued and this became a theme the rest of the trip - building fairy houses wherever we went.
