Chomolungma / Mount Everest

Mt Everest in the early morning - looking south from the Friendship Highway in southern Tibet. Ruins of an old fortresses can be seen. These once fended off Nepalese invaders in the long ago. Also, look closely and one, lone horseman is a mere speck in the middle-left foreground.
We know as Mt Everest. The Tibetan name Chomolungma means mother goddess of the universe.
Known by the Nepalese as Sagarmatha meaning goddess of the sky.

I have to say more about this - the horseman in the foreground, the changes in fore ground colour, the mysterious silhouettes in the middle ground, the blue colour perspective, the line of low cloud, all add to a great image
