Harrington bolide and northern lights

Five stargazers from the Northern Cross Science Foundation on a dry warm night at Harrington Beach State Park on May 10.2012. At left, barely visible above the light pollution from Sheboygan is a bolide amidst the dim northern lights. No one noticed either event, probably due to the very transparent sky. This photo is part of a time-lapse video, which can be seen on YouTube.
