20120202 - Penhill Unchained

Well I stopped on the way home for this piccy, leaned the bike against a hedge, just like I normally do.
Took the pic, then looked at the bike... branches from the hedge must've knocked the chain off the chainring. That was a delay I wansn't expecting!!! Still, it went back on a lot more easily than I was expecting. Still got oily mucky hands though. Good job I packed some tissues in my pannier bag last year! :o)

nb. Brrrrr - bit chilly for cycling!

Ooops on the chainring...but resounding applause for the running repair, and the fotie.

Lovely colours in the sky and good on you for leaving the car at home.

You could always DRIVE you know. Cars have heaters in them. On the other hand, I like to hear of people suffering for their art. :o)

Good sky and snow on the hills.
Your doing so well to cycle in the cold weather Phillip, surprised your fingers were able to still operate the shutter.
I always have a rubber glove stuffed under the saddle.

The humble tissue is perhaps the best invention yet...though I like wet ones too!!

Just as long as you didn't get the 5D all greasy.

Lovely sky! Those hedges must have very nimble branches! :)
Johnny JAG02-Feb-2012 20:39
It was definitely on the parky side for cycling today! Well done.

The pinky blueiness looks very chilly. In fact far too chilly for biking, I thought bikes were reserved for summer days.
Colin Storey02-Feb-2012 20:20
Very nice scene, cycling in this cold weather, very brave and hardy.

not sure which deserves more congratulation, keeping up the cycling or keeping up the photography in such cold weather
