The Rochester area is hometown of Abby Wambach who scored the goal to tie the soccer game today against Brazil to send it to penalty kicks with the USA winning the game. And what a game it was! Her family's business is just down the road. Rochester has been blessed with a tremendous amount of world class athletes from all sports: football, baseball, hockey, speed skating, down hill skiing, golf and I'm sure there are more that I've forgotten. Abby's play is the talk of town tonight! Way to go Abby...
Oh and all the women were super because without the perfect kick to Abby, the goal might not have happened and without the goalkeeper saving that one penalty kick and the other women making their penalty kicks, the end result might have been different.
