After our Peralta Canyon hike and a stop at In N Out Burger, we were on our way to Sedona. We rolled into Sedona just at sunset (of course, a spectacular one and we weren't able to take any pictures). We booked three nights at the Sedona Motel and were happy to find a favorable weather forecast. I wanted to get up for sunrise pictures the next morning, but without seeing any of Sedona, was kind of winging it on a location. The book we had said Airport Mesa was a great spot for both sunrise and sunset, so I made the short five minute drive there early Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, sunrise was a dud (absolutely clear), so my consolation prize was a picture of the Sedona Lights backed by Thunder Mountain.
