A Not-So-Serious Portrait

This reminds me of when I was younger and my friends and I would have to pose for photos. Being kids, my friends and I always liked to make faces, stick out our tongues, etc at the camera. When our parents wanted to photograph us they had to beg us for a serious portrait. We usually agreed for a serious portrait as long as we were allowed to have a second not-so-serious portrait taken afterwards. Of course, while we were standing for our serious portrait we often made a face at the last second anyways!

This is such a lovely shot! He does look as if he is trying to thwart your attempts to get a dignified photo!
