Dutch Folk Dancing Group "Melbourne Tukkers" consists of six to eight couples wearing traditional Dutch costumes, including clogs.
The group was formed in Melbourne in 1974, with the aim to retain and perform the traditional folk dances of Holland and to exhibit them here in Australia. Some of these dances date back 200 years.
The dancers and costumes mainly come from the County of Twente, which is in the eastern part of Holland.
