24th - "Are You Gonna Go My Way?"

Leckhampton Hill, Glos.

(From Lenny Kravitz' 1993 album of the same name)

A guaranteed rocker of a song - I do like a nice hard riff. Follow the arrows to Christmas :o)

Out and about in freezing fog and sub-zero temperatures of the pre-Christmas Cotswolds - Finn and I are doing a fair bit of short walks this Christmas, mainly because our minds are concentrated on getting everything ready for Friday...we've hoovered, dusted, polished and scrubbed the house from top to bottom; we've shampooed the hamster, groomed the horse and brushed the cat. But importantly, we've fought off the vast swathes of shoppers clogging up the High Street and beyond in order to get everything we need. Whisky - check! Beer - check! Better check the Highland Park again, Dad - check! Have we any beer? Check! Crisps and nuts - check! Fizzy pop - check! Umm, I'm sure we've forgotten something...oh yeah, some sort of meat and veg for Friday - (mumble mumble) there's a couple of sausages at the back of the fridge...check!

I think today will be fairly relaxed - a last push of the hoover, a final flourish with the broom, and that's that...time to settle down with a long cold one (or perhaps a dram) and watch a good film...mmm, Monty Python & The Holy Grail seems a good choice :o)....Finn? You have the remote!

I like a man with priorities, "Whisky - check! Beer - check!". It looks cold where you are, but it's invigorating to get out. Have a wonderful time my friend.

Lovely and entertaining story, and a good shot to illustrate the state of the weather over there! Hope you have a great day!

You seem to have everything so much under control that all that's left to do is to wish you a Merry Christmas! Don't get too pickled... oh, go on then - it's only once a year :o))

Sounds like you're pretty nifty with the 'hoover' - I'm impressed.
Have a wonderful Xmas Doug, all the best to you and yours.
I think 'The Holy Grail' might be a good choice for today.
