Tiger Moth, Leptarctia californiae

Family Arctiidae, Tiger Moths.

This would appear to belong to a newly nominated genus of Tiger Moths, Leptarctia. Per BugGuide.org
there is only one species, L. californiae. My other dark-winged Tiger Moth (previous image) with
was also identified by the experts as L. californiae. I have my doubts that the two are the same
species, given that the first one has red eyes and furry antennae while this one has black
eyes and non-furry antennae. The eye color might be ascribed to gender difference, but the antennae?
