The end of the road for an old friend

It might not look like much but I have read this book half a dozen times; I have lent it to dozens of colleagues and students. At the time it was published it was arguably the best, and most certainly the most interesting, biography of Charles Darwin. When a book like this falls apart it is like losing a good friend.

I adore this photo for all the inner meaning it conveys and...for the book, of course.
Wehn a book gets worn out, it means it has had a long and happy life!

An super shot to pay tribute to a friend. The coffee cup really adds nicely to the storyline too. V!

Better for a book to pass through many hands and fall apart then to gather dust on the shelf and end up in a box in the attic! You're friend has had a good life!
