M60 (NGC 4649,
Arp 116)

M60 (NGC 4649) elliptical galaxy type E2 with NGC 4647 spiral galaxy type SBc, in Virgo. These two
galaxies are also identified as Arp 116. Taken Apr. 12, 25,26, 28, & May 01 2008 in poor
transparency with a DSI Pro II and Outback Cooler, on a C8NGT (8" Newtonian f5) and an ASGT mount.
LRGB subframes were 3 minutes resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) =
183:66:99:87. Color balance was achieved via numerically scaled channels. Captured with Envisage,
calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using FITZ, PixInsight LE and
Photoshop CS. North is up
