IN LOVING MEMORY OF BOO MARTIN 11/1/94 - 9/1/08

Rowlett, TX

After returning from East Texas, Pbase Member and my best friend, Jennifer and I found her beloved Boo had passed away. Boo was a loving and most special dog and who got Jennifer through the toughest times of her life. He held a special part in her heart as well as her son Chase that will never be forgotten. As I write this tears flow down my cheeks as I loved Boo too. And, seeing my best friend's heart break hit really close to home. Some people may say, "it was just a dog". But, those of you who own animals and have that bond with them will understand the pain that Jennifer is feeling right now. Jennifer, as you read this, just know you will see Boo again and that he is playing in the fields in heaven. I love you with all my heart and my heart breaks as does your's, not only for the loss of your beloved Boo, but the pain you and Chase are enduring. I share with you my love and you know if you need anything, just pick up the phone and call. To all other pbasers, if you want to send some words of condolences to Jennifer and Chase you may do so at: http://www.pbase.com/jgbmartin

Sometimes you can just look at a dogs face and eyes and know he's a great one. I can tell Boo Martin was a great one. Reminds me of Scruffy, we adopted him from the shelter a couple of years ago. Of all the dogs in there you just knew he was the "one" that really wanted to go home with you. Nope,it's never "just a dog" when you find the right one. Sorry for your loss Jennifer.

Thank you for your tribute to Boo. Boo was amazing(somehow dog isn't the right word), Boo never met a stranger and everyone that met him, just fell in love with him. I met Boo when he was 1 1/2 years old at the shelter and knew he was the one. The lady at the shelter said Boo had been there awhile and his future with them was unsure. They said the attendants took turns taking Boo home for the weekends, they were so happy he found a home. I told Boo that I thought he needed me as much as I needed him, I really didn't know how true that was. Boo truely was my companion, protector and friend.

Those who say "just a dog", were never owned by one. This is a great portrait and a touching tribute.

Oh man....horrible. It was bad enough putting my last dog down, and I knew it was coming. I can't imagine just finding him. I'm so sorry.

So sorry, it was a very handsome dog, I bet a great friend too. He's got such conforming and faithful eyes.
