Figure 19 wears a short tunic, billowing cloak, boots and a cap of animal skin. The ear-flaps of this cap are folded up, and the tail of the animal projects at the back. He checks the pace of his horse by pulling at the rein with his left hand and tugging with his right at the animal's forelock. His companion, figure 18, wears body armour over a short tunic. He is bareheaded and barefoot.
