The side streets of Shanghai are really... dark!!!
Not a vehicle, not a stir, not a sound
except the occasional whispers of passersby.
Following the dim light and a few local people,
seemingly walking home too, was virtually all I could do.

I can never forget that impalpable delight
when I finally came to this street corner
where I was greeted by this corner store
and the shimmering lights in the distance...
