Thanks for the update on David Woof.I did have a feeling I could be wrong about Dennis an old mess mate Jona did tell me many years ago in Pompey before we all split up for the last time going on different drafts. I was with the 7mcms Malta if I had known I would have visited his grave at GANGES he also was a good lad.

It's David Woof who died in Malta. Friday, 27 October 1967, he was serving on HMS Grenville and is buried in Malta. On his head stone his name is shown as WOOFF.

I was in the same mess as Dennis Woof he was 40 class I was 41 class he was a good lad and 40 classes badge boy, when we went on draft after finishing GANGES he stayed on as a PO junior. Did they ever find out what happened.

Dennis Woof was murdered in Malta a few years later.
