The inspiration behind this piece the story of how a very dear friend of ours finally found her birth mum who lives in Australia. Usually humor is used in Peter's pieces but he thought this one did not need it other than bandage on one arm as he began carving this shortly after the fires in Australia ravaged the Koala's habitat.

The enclosed card tells the story and secrets. A tiny treasure - little koala is included.
Each piece is hand painted by Peter. This was done during the Covid-19 pandemic.

2 koala pieces have green bases. This was Pete’s original color, but then he didn’t feel right painting them green after all the fires, so changed them to pink - also representative of the ‘red’ earth in Australia.

1 koala piece is painted more grey than the rest and inside this one is a BLUE Tiny Treasure koala baby.

5 koalas have PINK Tiny Treasure koala babies inside instead of the regular grey color.
