No world authority, but having collected a lot including fossil oysters, I think your fossil clam photo is really an oyster. Also, Halite is Salt. I collect Halite at the famous Trona Lake, California locale each year. It's flat cubic when the crystals are small, but form concentricly ringed cubes when the crystals get bigger.
