The still great Judy Collins with recent sidekick Ari Hest give two nights of preview concerts before their album release party and concert at the City Winery Club in NYC. What a voice she still has at 78 years. Unfortunately the Horse sound guy added too much reverb, lessening the magical signature of her voice (nobody ever mistakes Judy Collins for anybody else.)

Cameras were "prohibited" but I snuck a few pics anyway. We were seated at the back of the balcony, with a decent view of the concert. But some of the pictures had to be taken through two horizontal iron railings of the balcony (which explains why you may see a shadow of them at times).

For you photographers who may be looking at this gallery, the shots were taken with a Nikon D600 in DX mode and a Nikkor 85mm f1.8D lens (122mm equivalent).
