Henk, you definitely deserve this opportunity! Joop and the other pictures are definitely worth emailing Stephanie with. Are you going to have to travel with your dog at all? You should look into pet boarding places in advanced in case the hotels you go to don't allow dogs.

That puppy is absolutely adorable! What kind of dog is it? Where do you keep him when you go on vacations and such? I have a dog that looks similar to that, and we've had to find places for him to stay while my husband and I travel. We've found a couple dog boarding places that we know he enjoys. Puppy boarding is the best thing to do when traveling so that you know your dog is in good hands. http://www.alpineanimal.net/boarding/

we can`t find our breed....(ToT) but those books will be a great one if the dogs we know appear in the books.

Moin Joop, maybe we are still sleeping... but this Steffi obviously has never heard of one of the oldest breeds in the world....? Ok, we are used to it cause people always say that we are catdogs dogcats, but no REAL dogs because we do not bark, hate water and do not smell like normal dogs... shall we feel discriminated or tell Lady Steffi something about the wild boys of the Güsterfields? Have a fine weekend... we will do our very best to put bosslady in a better mood: so much left to do in her private office and of course she always waited for bad weather executing inside tasks.... now as the holydays is nearly over.... we know how it will end..having fun is more important than putting all things into good order.

Joop, I don`t think I`ve ever seen you with a bigger grin. Am I to assume yr human is going to enter you in this call for pics? and then you`ll be even more famous. The amazing thing is that it never seems to go to yr head. Yr still the same cool guy. Impressive!

Call me paranoid...but perhaps your human, being very bright, will research this person a bit before sending in your wonderful pictures. Copyrights etc. Anyway...I think you, Joop, and your thoughts and words, deserve a book all to themselves. On the other hand, if Stephanie turns out to be legitimate etc. this could be a very good way to start. But I really do believe it`s a combination of your pictures AND words that is so fantastic and unique.
Call me persistent, but perhaps dropping a line to them and suggesting a Joop book with words and photos would be in order... since the interest has already been initiated from the publisher.

I, too, would hold out for a Joop book! As a person who has done three books, I don`t take all that kindly to people who want to make money off books without paying the people who made them possible -- the authors and photographers! I don`t know for sure if it`s the case with this publisher, but ... I think you deserve better.

She will live to regret this, I'm on the case now! Do you think she wants just one of each mutt or several of the same hound in different guises. Not too much from us in the immediate future - we are off to France to live. Have 'Pet Passport' - will travel!! Meet up again soon - Max (& Chris) :o)
