Joop's Dog Log - Monday Jan 26

Thanks for your cookie wishes & gifts, it convinced my human to open a new box of bacon cookies, so I got mine!

Had a long walk in the woods yesterday. All of a sudden a familiar whiff came in my nose: deer!
Then I saw them. Two large females and two teenager-deer.
Before my humans could grab me I charged ahead and the deer started running, and I was at their heels.
Oh boy, that was a great chase! We ran around and crashed through the brush. I felt like a wild dog.
Too bad I had to let them go when my humans’ calls began to sound like they needed oxigen and artificial respiration.
But it sure was fun!
So that was yesterday. And here`s another Monday. Have a good week everybody

You certainly are a wild man! Take it easy on your humans, though, after all, they are only human! Great photo, looks like you sure have some sun now. Did it take you long to find your car?

Ummmmm, Joop? You given any thought to what would happen if you actually caught up with those deer folks? Not only are they dangerous when cornered, what with such big feet and all, but what if you hurt one of them? Huh? Can you imagine what that would do to yr humans` bacon cookie budget if they had to pay the vet bill for a deer with munch marks in its nose? Or the fines if the authorities caught you chasing deer? Uh huh, suddenly not so much fun, eh? I mean, just what tastes the best, Joop? A nasty old tough, hairy deer butt, or a bacon cookie? A gnarly, sharp, hard deer foot, one that has recently stepped in old deer doodoo, or a bacon cookie? A flea bitten, old grass covered chunk of deer hide, with a tick, or a bacon cookie? Life, my friend, is a trade off, and no matter how much you might want it, you just cannot have it all. Darn it!

LOL Joop, I`m laughing and laughting. It`s not funny, I know, but it`s so cool you talk about it, `they needed oxygen` ... oh, I know that situation ...

Moin Joop...I know, I know...when I was young I always traced the deer in every corner of the little forests here..nowadays I would be fast and fit enough to do such a chase...but the humans are intelligent creatures and learned to read my behaviour...once I chased a deer into neighbours garden..around and around in the flower and vegetable patches....Bosslady had to buy lots of flower pots and go for apologizing visits...B.

I HATE making those apologizing visits!...
(Park rangers in the States can shoot dogs who chase deer!)
Better to get your bacon cookie, curl up on the futon and DREAM of chasing deer!
All the best to you, Joop and Henk!

Joop, this is one of your best pictures. I think all that deer-chasing really perked up your spirits.

Haaaa haaaa haaaaa. I can just hear your humans screaching and hollering for you. Good boy, Joop, to give up that chase. Humans, you know, only have so much endurance. Not like you who can chase wild deer!!!
F/L is about as slow as it`s ever been...but your story here has cheered me up.
Would you kindly ask your human what kind of camera he uses.
