De Brandaris in West Terschelling is gebouwd in 1594 en daarmee de oudste vuurtoren van Nederland.
Hij dankt zjn naam mogelijk aan Sint Brandarius, beschermheilige van zeelui.
Bovenop de oude toren is een modern licht- en radarsysteem gebouwd.

The Brandaris (contructed in 1594) is the oldest lighthouse in The Netherlands,
possibly named after Saint Brandarius, a sailor saint.
The lighthouse today has a modern automated light system on the top of the old tower.
