To celebrate the 15th anniversary of its art program, MuralsDC, the District has commissioned 15 new murals across four wards. A large number of them will be painted in this alley off H Street NE, the same venue that hosts eight DC statehood murals, posted in my Capitol Hill murals tour gallery http://pbase.com/helenpb/pbasecomhelenpbcapitol_hil_murals under the title "1333 H Street NE."
After I read about the new murals, we went to the alley to see if any were finished. This man said he was just getting the walls ready for the artists and that they’d be finished by September 24, the Art All Night celebration, in what’s now called the “Art Allery.”
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.
