‘Great Wave of Capitol Hill’?

That isn’t really the name of it (I don’t think), but it appears to have been inspired by “The Great Wave of Kanagawa” by Hokusai. I photographed a similar but much older mural in another part of the city titled “Great Wave of Georgetown.” This one is newer and looks much nicer. Like with many of the murals I photograph around DC, we just stumbled across this one down the street from Gypsy the cow.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

super shot...the wave, although stylized and reversed from Hokusai's work, certainly refreshes the building..

That is one of Hokusai's most famous works and must say, I really love it. It is impressively copied on this building and your shot is amazing. V
