DC police following the protesters

We were heading down East Capitol Street looking for birds and flowers, but what we encountered instead was a protest march from our park to the National Mall. A pastor from another part of the city told us that the march comprised evangelical groups from around the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. We followed along as far as the US Capitol and got some pictures, but didn’t see many birds.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Protesters and the US Capitol, posted earlier:

Bike helmets and bullet proof vests. Quite a combination.

We had a protest in Brussels yesterday. Afterwards some outside hooligans started fighting with police and destroyed a lot of shops. Police on a bike looks great.

You found these funny birds on the bikes! Once, a century ago, agents were called "swallows" in France.
