Not a happy camper

Poor Sahraa, we had to make an unexpected trip to the vet yesterday (luckily my neighbor drove us) because her eye was discharging something that didn’t look good. Turns out she may have a small scratch on her cornea, so I have to give her antibiotic drops three times a day for a week. She is not happy about that.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Taking in the sun, posted earlier:

oh la pauvre ! heureusement que ce n'est pas très grave ! ils n'aiment jamais quand on les soigne, mais là c'est leur santé, pas question de faire autrement ! v

I don't blame her for feeling miserable. Time for extra rations of treats.

Poor dear! I've dealt with this too. Both personally and my cats play rough sometimes.

Beautiful shot of your beautiful girl, but she does look unhappy. If only our pets could understand that we give them meds for their own good! V

Poor baby. Been there with our Chihuahuas. Because they are so close to the ground and have such big eyes, their Breed is particularly susceptible to cornea abrasions. The most recent episode was with Chile. Remember last August https://pbase.com/britestar/image/169725140 ?

I've also has experienced a cornea abrasions myself on 3 different occasions & each time ended up with being forced to seek emergency treatment. So I know first hand the discomfort Sahraa is experiencing. She has every right to feel a bit droopy. Keep a close watch over her eye because such injuries can quickly go South without warning. Luckily, the antibiotic drops usually solve things pretty quickly. So she should be fine in a week or two. Her eye doesn't look bad in the photo. So the scratch must be fairly minor.
