My most recent picture of a cormorant was mysteriously deleted overnight, and that bird gallery simply disappeared from my “Recent” upload pages. When I went to upload it again to the gallery this morning, a picture of a windmill appeared instead. I was finally able to re-load the cormorant but unfortunately lost all the comments.

I know several Pbase friends whose galleries had pictures from other artists added to their own galleries – and they couldn’t delete them.

Something is definitely wrong with Pbase.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

We went to the opening day of “Orchids: Amazing Adaptations,” a joint collaboration with Smithsonian Gardens, the United States Botanic Garden, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery. The installation showcases how orchids have adapted to their many different environments and can be found on every single continent except Antarctica. We only managed to look at a bit more than a quarter of the exhibit, so I’m sure we’ll be going back to see the rest of it.
