Mount Vernon from Piscataway National Park

We took a drive to Piscataway National Park, located on the Maryland side of the Potomac River, where we saw several ospreys and a couple of other birds, including bald eagles, cormorants and a cardinal.

This is a view from the park of Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington, first president of the United States. I’ve been on that lawn several times, but have never seen the plantation from this point of view.
