Hall, İshak Paşa Sarayı

İshak Paşa Sarayı is a semi-ruined, Ottoman-period palace and administrative complex located in the Doğubeyazıt district of eastern Turkey’s Ağrı province. The construction of İshak Paşa was started in 1685 by Colak Abdi Pasha, the bey of Beyazıt province, continued by his son İshak Pasha and completed by his grandson Mehmet Pasha. According to the inscription on its door, the harem of the palace was completed by his grandson İshak (Isaac) Pasha in 1784.

I don't know if it's just me or what, but Pbase seems to be slowing down. It's taking several minutes for pictures to download on my screen, even my own pictures.

a dazzling structure so astutely captured...the addition of a harem is interesting in light of recent alarming news from Hollywood an Washington...it would seem women have been victimized for decades..
