Old Olds

One doesn’t normally see cars like this old Oldsmobile around here. The emblem on the back says “Hydra-Matic Drive,” an automatic transmission developed by General Motors’ Cadillac and Oldsmobile divisions. It was introduced in 1939 for the 1940 models and was the first fully automatic mass-produced transmission developed for passenger automobiles.

Thanks to Dan Greenberg, I now know it's a 1948 Olds 98 (corrected from 1946).

Scant evidence of fall, posted earlier:

You showed this old vehicle so well - great to see it on the street, and that the owner didn't dress it all up (maybe they did under the hood...)
