Journalists Memorial

This soaring, two-story glass structure (see previous two pictures) bears the names of reporters, photographers, editors and broadcasters who died in the line of duty. More than 2.300 journalists are remembered here. Some of their pictures are on display as well.

The tale of a spoiled dog, posted earlier:

Very sobering. Photography plays such an important tool in capturing oppression and war. V

a lot to take in, and a lot of people lost doing the valuable job of informing the public...sad to see more space has been left empty for fatalities yet to come...alas that is the inevitable reality...

Wow! That is very intense and I am so glad such a tribute/memorial exists. ~V~
