We finally got to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, after a 10-hour drive. Apparently everybody was heading south for Monday’s total solar eclipse, and the traffic was horrific almost the entire way.
The purpose of the trip was not the eclipse but the American Eagle Foundation and the Great Smoky Mountains, although Dollywood is located here, too, not that I am keen to visit that. We had ordered ISO certified glasses to watch the eclipse, but B&H really dropped the ball (that’s putting it kindly), so we won’t be able to watch it. Still, we’re extremely close to the path of totality, so it should be an interesting experience in any case.
Tim bought Sahraa a hamburger, but she wanted some of his, too.
