Sadly leaving Fes and its medina behind, we spent a large part of the day traveling to Erfoud, an oasis town in the Sahara Desert, passing through an amazing variety of landscapes on the way.

This was a lake we stopped at that seemed to be very popular with locals, offering boat, horse and donkey rides to visitors. It was the kind of scene I didn’t expect to find in Morocco.
