This is the last of three captures – the wide view, taken from a different vantage point from the others and showing some different buildings -- of the Doha skyline at night, and will end the gallery for now. I wasn’t actually intending to make it all night shots, but the more I looked at them, the more I liked them and decided they could stand on their own; I just wish there were more, but I did what I could in the time I had there.
I have many more images that document the extraordinary architecture in Doha (!), which was the real reason I wanted to return to Qatar so soon after our last trip in January, but that gallery will have to wait for another time. I need to finish the Dubai and Bahrain sub-galleries now, or I never will, and we are off for two weeks in Morocco at the end of next week. Seems it’s either feast or famine for me with pictures here!
Thanks for all the kind comments and votes – I’m pleased I could show what a beautiful city this is architecturally. It has to be my favorite in the entire Gulf region, and I imagine we’ll go back yet again, after the heat and humidity of summer are over.
