Doha skyline (1)

This image should be viewed in original size!

I’ll be posting several images of the Doha skyline, taken from the Corniche, to finish this gallery off. They were shot from two spots, so two are closer in, while the last one is a more panoramic view.

Tim had brought my tripod along since it had been so difficult to get a skyline capture on our first visit. I really detest tripods and kept finding reasons not to use it, until he parked on the Corniche and set it up for me. – so I had no choice. (I hadn’t even planned to attempt another skyline shot after the last time!) I guess it was nice to have, but I really blew it with the images – they looked perfect in camera, but were incredibly underexposed when I saw them on the computer. I haven’t a clue what went wrong, but I have tried to fix them as best I could in PS.

Magnificent photo! A Tripod can be difficult to carry around, but I often use on(a very heavy one)

a grand cityscape to behold...exposure is difficult here with such a range of light, yet you did not blow out the brighter lights, so some loss is inevitable in the less lit up structures..it looks so good like this...

I think this complete shot is the best; they seem more of an ensemble than a crowd yelling at each other
