This is for trash

I can’t read the Arabic, but I think the sign speaks for itself. Littering is a huge problem here – people don’t seem to have any concept of keeping their environment clean, so toss trash wherever they happen to be. It’s not bad in the city, but out in the desert and at attractions like this, it’s simply unbelievable. The sign would indicate a campaign to raise awareness about littering and show people what trash baskets are for.

This is a universal problem and worse in some places than others. Clearly there is some exasperation there with the continued littering, so I hope this works. V

At least they are aware of the problem.

Not all that different from here unfortunately. Can't understand who they think will pick up their litter...

a modest sized basket for an attraction...perhaps not much usage is expected..

It´s sad that they needed these campaigns to raise awareness.V.

oh, I was hoping for a bus stop!

I'm not sure why it takes a campaign to raise awareness about litter, but it does. V

Reminds me of a local newspaper columnist who went to the Egyptian pyramids to clean of the trash around them. They don't seem to have any organized trash removal system.http://www.pbase.com/isabel95/image/154027688
