Our hotel, the Al Bustan Palace, had a very long beach situated on the Gulf of Oman. Unfortunately, our first full day in Muscat was not only hot and humid but quite overcast, but we had sunny weather for the rest of our stay. The high heat and humidity, however, never went away. I think the ideal time to visit Oman would be in late fall to early winter. We already knew that but had a long stretch of days off for Eid, the Ramadan holiday, so decided to brave the summer conditions anyway.
