The sun here is definitely brilliant and intense, almost blinding, really. Oddly enough, it's been cold here recently -- I managed to catch cold and had to wear a sweatshirt today, I was just that freezing. More heavy rains are forecast for this evening, supposedly the most rain seen here in a decade. I sure hope we don't lose electricity again, but we got off relatively easy since many homes were flooded from the downpour the other evening.
