Al Faisaliyah Center (The Globe)

Both these images were shot from a moving van (a van that was moving, not one that moves household belongings ;-)). Al Faisaliyah Center is the third tallest building in Saudi Arabia and hosts, among other things, a restaurant, viewing deck and major shopping center. More information about the building itself with a great picture is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Faisaliyah_Center

The image below is posted just for fun as the driver sure didn't slow down to allow me to take this one, but I like the reflection in what looks like a razor sharp building:

Great captures of these skyscrapers one after another. Glad to see that you can continue to do what you always enjoy to do. Hope you can adapt to the life in the desert soon. Best wishes from the U.S. (Like to meet you one day).

Two astonishing buildings. The bottom one is particularly remarkable and I love the way you've got both in one shot!! Well done, especially from a moving van. VV

That is a fine looking piece of architecture. I wonder how it might be lit at night. Nice comp, Helen.

probably a disaster saved while the air-conditioning runs well, but I must say I find this pleasantly light and airy after all that stone with pastry shape cut-outs

Nicely captured despite the challenges! Does this skyscraper have a mildly derogatory nickname?
