Nativity Facade

I have uploaded the last eight images of this gallery, all exterior shots. I can't help but thinking they would have looked and turned out better in sunny weather with a blue sky, but I posted them just to give the interior a context and to show the fantastical exterior, which is far from finished. There was a lot of construction work going on during our second visit to the basilica, so hopefully it will be completed at some point.

Thanks, everybody, for the great support for this small gallery! Many people said they were surprised at how far along the interior has come since they saw it (it's basically finished now, I think), while others said they wanted to visit Barcelona to see it in person. I'm actually hoping to return this summer to see all the outside attractions I missed because of the horrible weather. Even with the constant rain and cold, marvelous city, and in particular a fantastic church, and I would highly recommend a visit if you haven't been.

An incredible image of "creation". The cranes add to the impression of something just happening : the action of a human creation in progress. BV.
