This is one of my favorite buildings in Budapest, the Postal Savings Bank. It's virtually impossible from the very narrow street to get a good picture of it. So we got the bright idea to go to the rooftop terrace of the President Hotel, reputed to have an excellent view. Except it was closed when we went, thinking the sun wouldn't be so obnoxious at that hour. We went back at 6, when it opened. But of course then the sun was brilliant and in the way. I'm not sure there really is any good way to photograph this building (although I know a secret way but it's quite complicated and I just have to get the time and permission to do it ;-)), but am posting this as a reminder of a very pleasant time spent sipping drinks on the roof, waiting for the sun to go away. Which it never did ;-).
