Just below Kearsarge Pass in the John Muir Wilderness, at an elevation of 10,810 feet, sits Heart Lake. Here the remnants of winter ice, floating like puzzle pieces in its blue waters, are greeted by the first light of the day.
Beautiful image, I know the lake well on my many trips over the Pass. I believe the point there is called "The Thumb", or at least that's what we always called it. Great photo!
