Formerly Lebanon Lutheran Church it now serves as the Mongolia Historical Society Headquarters. Lebanon Lutheran Church, and Trinity Lutheran Church (i.e., "The Mill Pond Church") combined in 1971 to form Peace Lutheran Church in New London. New London was formerly the county seat of Mongolia County, which later became the northern half of Kandiyohi County. (Kandiyohi is pronounced as in the sentence, "Candy, oh hi!") New London remains the oldest community in Kandiyohi County, and we think by far the best. ;-)
