The shrine in the Umayyad Mosque, said to hold the decapitated
head of St. John. There is also another smaller shrine, holding
the head of Hussein, grandchild of the prophet. The tomb of
Saladin is located on the grounds of the mosque, just outside
the inner courtyard. all those, combined with being one of the
oldest and largest mosques in the world makes this building quite
a sight to see, not to mention the worshippers in and
around the building.
