Whilst some of my friends were our freezing their butts off, I decided to stay home and have the birds come to me LOL.

This Cooper's came in for a 40 minute visit chasing the birds frequenting my feeders. The Hawk never did catch lunch. In fact, at one point a small black Squirrel sitting on the fence near the Hawk suddenly charged at it and made it fly to a different spot. The Hawk did not seem interested in the Squirrel, only the small birds. It seemed to me that both the squirrel and Hawk were juvies. The Hawk was quite a bit bigger than the small Squirrel.

In this image you can see the force of the wind and the snow squalls. I remained nicely inside whilst taking this and many more shots through our kitchen window.
