Morikami (transferred & handcolored)

For this image I painted blue watercolor on a piece of Strathmore Aquarius II 80 lb. Cold Press paper. I then printed my b&w image on Sheer Heaven then did an alcohol transfer onto the painted paper after it had dried. I then used Conte Pastel pencils and colored in the rocks, bushes, leaves and trees. The blue sky and water are just the effect of the watercolor paint. You can see a little lift-off from the transfer in the middle foreground. I actually think that adds to the look, but that may be just me. The scan for posting is a bit more vivid in color than the actual product.

Stunning work - you should be very proud! This piece is so serene, quiet, gentle-
just the place one would like to go to sit quietly and contemplate.

Lovely! Especially like the irregular blue brush strokes around the edges. You don't notice them at first- but they really add a layer of interest.
Thanks for sharing!
