One of the trail markers, this is just the first boulder field, there's still a long way to go. Wearing gloves (I have full finger cycling gloves on) is highly recommended to get over those boulders! Also recommended: trekking poles, convertible pants, and old boots (because they will get torn up.) If I were to do it again I would have added a hydration pack so I wouldn't have to stop whenever I wanted a drink.
