The Ralph Thornton Centre was an old Post Office (station G). Canada Post stopped using it in 1975 and the building was leased to the City of Toronto for twenty years (lease expired in 1999). The City Council later approved the purchase of this building from the federal government.

Ralph Thornton Centre is a cultral and social meeting place in the Riverdale area. The building has a drop in centre for parents (one of my wife's favourite drop in centres), a public library (Queen Saulter Branch), and training, meeting areas.
