Monday

On Monday the two planets appeared closest together. It was partly cloudy and hazy. I tried a few close up shots but the haze obscured any detail in the planets and the moons of Jupiter. I opted instead for a star trail/planet trail shot. This shot combines about 35 separate frames, with different exposure times from 15 seconds to 3 minutes. This is fairly heavily edited to fill in gaps in the trails and such. The two little "flares" along the trail are from when the planet passed through some heavier haze.
